Feelux Eye Love Campaign has started since 2005. Light pollution is an elevating, and pervasive social problem.
Moreover light pollution is harmful to unborn child. If infants’ eyes are exposed to strong light before the age of 6 years old,
their eye sights are going to slowly die out gradually. It´s time to love your eyes. Human beings have unconditional right to live with
healthy light and to utilize better light. It is why Feelux has started Eye Love Campaign, to provide and educate you about importance
of good lighting as well as harmful consequences of bad lighting.
Through Light Pollution Photography & Videography Contest in step with Eye Love Campaign,
Feelux has successfully informed the audience about the possible damage from modern day lighting.
Learn to love your eyes with our Eye Love Campaign!
The Lighting Museum opened The First Light Pollution Photo Contest in 2005 to let our society know the unfamiliar concept of light pollution, and try to inform people about this continually to improve the light environment. In 2009, a public hearing in the National Assembly was held for an establishment of the Light Pollution Control Act, and it became the topic of the year. The Seoul Metropolitan Government highlighted the Light Pollution Control Act in 2009, and the law was proclaimed for the first time in Korea in 2011 with the social recognition. The Environment Ministry established the Light Pollution Control Act in 2012, and the law took effect in 2013. Now, all provincial governments and the nation are trying to manage the light pollution by the law
The purpose of the contest, held annually since 2005, is to increase the awareness of light pollution and pursue a healthier and more environmentally harmonious light. The themes for this year’s contest should feature either light pollution or natural lights sources that promote coexistence between nature and people in healthier lifestyles.
Every year Feelux and Lighting Museum hold Light Pollution Seminar with lighting and optical electronics industry persons for in-depth understanding and discussions. We hope this to be an opportunity to find way to minimize light pollution concerns and think about what kind of light should evolve for true future vision in respective field.
Here at Lighting Museum we create guide to lighting pollution and develop its related educational program to tell natural life harmed by misuse of lighting as well as excessive lighting in our environment, and also tell how to happily live life with healthy lighting.
Emotional lighting is artificial lighting system that is fit to human’s biorhythm by reproducing natural light. Feelux develops to interpret natural lighting, not just lighting feature that simply lights up the darkness.
